EDGEWOOD TAHOE RESORT

THE 6 TYPES OF WORKING GENIUS

EDGEWOOD RESORT HOTEL | OCTOBER 25, 2023

Patrick Lencioni, author of 13 best-selling business books on the topics of teamwork, leadership and culture (including The Five Dysfunctions of a Team, The Advantage, and The Ideal Team Player) began to question why he occasionally felt drained and frustrated in his own job and, in the process of figuring out why, Working Genius was born.

The 6 Types of Working Genius is predicated on the idea that there are six types of work: Wonder, Invention, Discernment, Galvanizing, Enablement and Tenacity.

Each of us has two areas that are considered our Working Geniuses and two areas that are considered our Working Frustrations.

We’re meant to use these gifts, what we call our geniuses, to contribute to the world around us.

When we understand the types of work that bring us more energy and fulfillment and avoid work that leads to frustration and failure, we can be more self-aware, more productive and more successful.

Join us as we explore learning about the different stages of work, identify our own genius and explore how to apply this information to our own personal and professional development.

In addition, we will examine ways to apply this model in our relationship with others - partners, co-workers, teams, succession planning, strategic discussions and more! Who we are is how we lead! Knowing ourselves will change the way we lead, love and serve.
